May is the last month of Emmy eligibility so anything else networks and streamers want to try to get in front of viewers before voting starts premieres this month.

Along those lines, the month kicks off with what looks like a big play from HBO: White House Plumbers, starring Woody Harrellson and Justin Theroux. Nat Geo also has limited series A Small Light, about Miep Gies, the woman who hid the family of Anne Frank during the Holocaust. And Apple TV Plus has several new series on tap this month, including sci-fi show Silo; Platonic starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne; and City on Fire, from The O.C. and Gossip Girl's Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.
