HBO, Max and LGBTQ+ sub-brand Human by Orientation are kicking off Pride Month by celebrating queer characters, series, films and franchises across all platforms. 

The above spot showcases this content, including such characters as The Last of Us’ Ellie (Bella Ramsey), Hacks’ Ava (Hannah Einbinder) and Harley Quinn. Throughout the month,  Max will update its LGBTQ+ Voices page with new curated verticals, including “Presenting with Pride,” “Pride in Every Story,” “Beyond the Binary” and “Queer Film Club.” Those verticals will include such series and specials as CNN Original The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, CNN Films/Max Original Little Richard and HBO Original Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show. The different verticals will also include custom artwork and other features to celebrate Pride Month around the world.

Max’s Human By Orientation, which shortens to HBO, will host an official “House of Drag” viewing party on the season-two premiere night of HBO's House Of The Dragon on Sunday, June 16 in Brooklyn. Hosted by Priyanka from We’re Here’s fourth season, this one-night only, sold-out event will feature a "Battle for the Iron Throne” that will rally House of the Dragon’s queer fandom alongside the larger community for a special Pride event. In celebration of Pride Month, a limited number of additional tickets to the “House of Drag” viewing party are now available here.

In a collaboration with New York City's NewFest during its annual Pride Festival running May 30 through June 3, Max will activate virtual and in-person community screenings of LGBTQ+ titles to further amplify voices and stories from the queer community. Max – in collaboration with NewFest Pride, Rooftop Films, and the Meatpacking District – also will also an outdoor screening of the HBO Original concert special Gaga Chromatica Ball on June 3 at Gansevoort Plaza.
