Paramount Plus is the National Park Foundation’s (NPF) first official streaming partner. Beyond the week of live streams, Paramount Plus also is providing funding to support the NPF’s mission to protect and preserve more than 420 of America’s national parks.
All through Earth Week, live-stream viewers will explore a new location each day, starting with Yosemite National Park in Northern California and moving to Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and Virginia, Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area in Montana and Wyoming, New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia, Everglades National Park in Florida, Death Valley National Park in Southern California and finishing with Zion National Park in Southern Utah.
The live content is being filmed by solar-powered cameras and includes additional footage captured in each of the various parks. Wildlife filmmaker Matt Aeberhard serves as consulting producer. After the week of live streams, Paramount Plus will continue to showcase new NPF content and events all year-round.
The streams also will be featured in Paramount Plus’ “Earthly Adventures’” collection, which launches on April 18. Besides the live streams, the collection will feature such movies and series as Smithsonian Channel’s docuseries Aerial America, David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef, Epic Yellowstone and Wild Wild East. The collection will include more than 10 curated content carousels.
