Fox continues its diversity-inspired #TVForAll campaign during Black History Month with the above spot featuring Anthony Anderson, host of Fox’s primetime game show, We Are Family.
“It’s my responsibility to lift as I climb,” Anderson says in the spot.
In the piece, Anderson shares the story of how his mother inspired him to become an actor when he watched her rehearse her role in “A Raisin in the Sun” when he was nine years old. Anderson and his mother, Doris Hancox, are still close and she was featured prominently when the comedian and former Black-ish star hosted the 75th Annual Primetime Emmys on Fox last month. Besides footage of Anderson, the spot also features African-American-inspired motion graphics.
Fox has been running its #TVForAll campaign for several years now, often in collaboration with literary non-profit, Get Lit, featuring performances of poetry from young authors.
