Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson and 2024 NBA Hall of Famer Vince Carter are this year’s cover stars for NBA 2K25. This year’s edition of the popular video game is due to be released September 6.

Tatum, who helped lead his team to this year’s NBA Championship, will serve as the cover athlete for the NBA 2K25 standard edition. He recently signed a five-year contract extension with the Celtics worth an estimated $315 million.

“It’s an honor to be named a cover athlete for NBA 2K25,” said Tatum in a statement. “I’ve been playing NBA 2K since I was a kid and it’s been a dream to one day be on the cover. Even after coming off an NBA championship, it’s humbling to see this come to life.”

Wilson, a back-to-back WNBA champion and two-time WNBA MVP, joins Tatum on the cover of the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition. 

Wilson also appears solo on the NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition, which is exclusively available as a physical edition at GameStop in the U.S. and Canada.

“Being featured on the NBA 2K25 cover is a big moment for me and a testament to the ever-growing fandom of the WNBA,” said Wilson, also in a statement. “Seeing more and more WNBA athletes scanned into NBA 2K25 to best capture the style and confidence of the league has been empowering, and I can’t wait for fans to experience it in-game.”

Finally, Carter, who retired in 2020 and now serves as an analyst for YES Network and an alternate analyst for the NBA on TNT, is featured on the cover of the NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition. Carter was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this year. 

“Between the honors NBA 2K and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame have bestowed upon me, this year is an unforgettable one, making me pause with gratitude at my career,” said Carter, who was an eight-time All-Star and NBA Slam Dunk contest winner during his 22-year career. “Being named a cover athlete would have always been a special moment for me, but it is a particular honor to be on the cover of the NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition.”

NBA 2K25 will be available September 6 on PlayStation5 (PS5), PlayStation4 (PS4), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
