It should come as no surprise that Netflix has renewed Wednesday – a series about the Addams Family's youngest daughter – for a second season. The show, starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, has topped the streamer's most-watched list for weeks since its November 23 debut, becoming its third most-streamed series of all time, behind only Stranger Things 4 and Squid Game. Netflix made the announcement, which is set to Lady Gaga's “Bloody Mary,” on Friday via its fan-focused blog Tudum.

Wednesday comes from executive producers and co-creators Alfred Gough and Miles Milar and is also executive produced and directed by Tim Burton.

“We can't wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore,” Millar and Gough told Tudum. “We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn't emptied the pool first.”

In the show, Addams is a student at Nevermore Academy, where she puts her psychic ability to use solving crimes. That ability seems to be less helpful when it comes to getting along with her fellow students, however.

Wednesday's dance—choreographed by Ortega herself—went viral last month, with even Lady Gaga contributing a version and TikTokers everywhere creating tutorial videos. That resulted in a sped-up version of Gaga's song, “Bloody Mary,” being used for the season-two announcement.

While Netflix has confirmed that the show is returning, when it will come back remains unknown.
