Disney Plus is gifting Marvel fans nine days of new episodes of its animated series, What If …?, starting Friday, December 22, and running through Saturday, December 30.

Season two continues viewers' journey, guided by The Watcher (voiced by Jeffrey Wright), who notes that “things have gotten a little twisted in the multiverse.”

The series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars reprising their iconic roles. Season two will feature the return of Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), Black Widow (Lake Bell) and Captain America (Josh Keaton). Other fan-favorite characters expected to appear this season are Nebula, Hela and Happy Hogan, episodes are directed by Executive Producer Bryan Andrews with Executive Producer AC Bradley as head writer.

Season one of What If …? was Marvel Studios' first-ever animated series. It explored hypothetical questions from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as what if Thor was an only child or if Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron ended up succeeding in destroying Earth.

Season two will see what happens when fighters from the world of Shang-Chi take on the gods of Asgard or when Valkyrie pairs up with Iron Man.

Executive producer Bryan Andrews directed season two along with executive producer and head writer A.C. Bradley. Season three of Marvel Studios' What If …? is already in the works.
