Based on Rick Riordan's best-selling book series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians will finally pay the gods a visit when the Disney Plus show premieres December 20.
12-year-old Percy (Walker Scobell) is only just learning that he's actually a demigod when Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. To make things right and prove that he's not a thief, Percy, with the help of his friends Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Grover (Aryan Simhadri), must find the lightning bolt and return it to Olympus.
The series is packed with notable guest stars, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Megan Mullally, Toby Stephens, Virginia Kull, Jason Mantzoukas, Jay Duplass, Glynn Turman, the late Lance Reddick, Adam Copeland, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Olivea Morton, Suzanne Cryer, Timm Sharp and Timothy Omundson.
Riordan, Jon Steinberg and Dan Shotz created and executive produced the series, with Riordan and Steinberg writing the first two episodes. Other executive producers include Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg as well as Bert Salke, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Monica Owusu-Breen, Anders Engström and Jet Wilkinson.
