Disney took advantage of its many platforms and debuted the anticipated new trailer for Marvel's latest Disney Plus series, Secret Invasion, during ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Texas Rangers. Marvel teased the release earlier Sunday on Twitter.
The show, which features Samuel L. Jackson, reprising his role as Nick Fury, is set in the present-day Marvel Cinematic Universe. When Fury learns that a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls have secretly invaded Earth (hence the title), Fury calls together his allies, including Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendehlson) who has made a home for himself on Earth. Together, they work to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and once again save humanity.

Secret Invasion also stars Kingley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald and Katie Finneran, with Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman and Don Cheadle.
Ali Selim directs the series and executive produces, along with fellow executive producers Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Jackson, Selim, Kyle Bradstreet and Brian Tucker. Bradstreet is also the head writer, and Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams and Brant Englestein serve as co-executive producers.
Secret Invasion debuts June 21 on Disney Plus.
