Sarah Grieshammer has joined global entertainment company Alkemy X as VFX supervisor.
Over the past two decades, Grieshammer has worked on such films as The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hunger Games and Diary of a Wimpy Kid as well as such TV series as Stranger Things, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Sleepy Hollow and Your Honor.
Grieshammer is reuniting with former collaborator Mark Miller, Alkemy X's executive producer, business development of VFX in her new role.
“Sarah's profound positivity and enthusiasm for the innovative nature of the creative process is reflected in each and every project she works on,” said Alkemy X President and CEO Justin Wineburgh in a statement. “Her range of experience speaks for itself and we are thrilled to have such an optimistic and talented VFX supervisor join our rapidly growing VFX department.”

Ohio-born Grieshammer studied art and animation at California State University, Los Angeles and began her career as a compositor. She lives in New Orleans where she periodically teaches visual effects at Loyola University New Orleans and mentors emerging VFX artists.
