Peacock got clever with its Super Bowl LVII spot, creating a meta situation in which Poker Face's lie-detecting detective Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne) sits in a bar watching the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagle with another patron. As he asks questions, she tells him what's true and what's not. (Spoiler alert: nothing is true except that he would watch Poker Face.)
Besides situating the spot in the world of the actual Super Bowl, Peacock partnered with two other brands, with whom NBCU already had relationships and who are also already famously advertising in the Big Game: Mars' M&M's and Google.
Peacock worked with its media agency, Essencemediacom, production company Hungry Man and director Dan Opsal to produce the spot.
Super Bowl LVII airs Sunday, February 12 on Fox, while the seventh episode of Poker Face premieres Thursday, February 16 on Peacock.
