​The Roy family is gearing up for the final battle for control of Waystar Royco in the fourth and final season of HBO's Emmy juggernaut Succession.

Patriarch and company founder Logan Roy (Brian Cox) wants to sell the company to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard), but Logan's adult kids – Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) – want to take over the family business themselves.

“Why does everyone ask how I'm feeling?” Logan asks his assistant (and probably lover) Kerry (Zoe Winters). “I got them a huge deal. I got the election. I got ATN. I got plenty on my plate.”

And to prove his potency, Logan is staying in the daily mix, so much so that he is walking the floor at Waystar Royco.

“He's moseying – terrifyingly, moseying,” cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun) tells Shiv's husband and partner in Logan-favored spycraft, Tom (Matthew Macfadyen). “It's like if Santa Claus was a hit man.”

The kids have not given up yet though, teaming up with Sandy (Hope Davis) and Stewie (Arian Moayed) and the liberal Pierce family – “Death-wrestling ogres,” as Kendall calls them – to mount a counter-bid.

Meanwhile, eldest son Connor (Alan Ruck) is still running for president, although his polling numbers are at 1% and shrinking. Logan's hand-picked candidate, far-right provocateur Congressman Jeryd Mencken (Justin Kirk), is faring far better.

“Squeezed down? From 1?” asks Greg. “Because that's the lowest number.”

And it seems like Logan, a man in his 80s, is eager to stay in the game.

“I'm gonna build something bigger, faster, wilder. I want to shell the opposition, cut their throats. We are pirates!” Logan yells to his employees on the floor, to chants of “Logan,” “Logan,” “Logan”

How it will all play out will be determined as the critically acclaimed series comes to a conclusion later this spring.

Succession is created and executive produced by Jesse Armstrong along with Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell. Armstrong also serves as showrunner.
