Netflix's annual global fan event, Tudum, was live-streamed and held in person in São Paulo Saturday, June 17, with Netflix hosting panels and making news.
On the series front, Netflix teased 3 Body Problem from Game of Thrones' creators and executive producers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss as well as Alexander Woo. The series, based on the novel of the same name by Cixin Liu, stars Jess Hong, Benedict Wong, Eiza González, Jovan Adepo, Alex Sharp, John Bradley, Saamer Usmani, Liam Cunningham, Rosalind Chao, Jonathan Pryce, Marlo Kelly, Sea Shimooka, Ben Schnetzer and Zine Tseng. It is set to premiere in January.
Benioff, Weiss and Woo wrote the series and serve as showrunners. They executive produce alongside Bernadette Caulfield, Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, Rosamund Pike, Robie Uniacke, Lin Qi, Zhao Jilong, Fenfen Xu and Xiasong Gao.

Reality competition series Squid Game: The Challenge, based on Netflix's global hit scripted show out of South Korea, will premiere on the streamer in November. Netflix offered a first look at the new show, in which the winner will take home $4.56 million:
The streamer also announced second-season renewals for Fubar, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega. Speaking of Schwarzenegger, his Terminator co-star, Linda Hamilton, will appear in the fifth and final season of Netflix's Stranger Things, which has not yet begun production, according to Variety.
As for movies, Gal Gadot stars in upcoming spy thriller Heart of Stone, which premieres August 11 on the service.
Netflix released a teaser-trailer of live-action adaptation of popular Japanese manga, One Piece, which is slated to debut August 31.
It also offered first looks at key characters from its upcoming live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Sci-fi epic Rebel Moon – the latest from director Zack Snyder – premieres part one December 22 with part two coming soon behind it. The film stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Bae Doona, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Staz Nair, E. Duffy and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy, a robot knight. It also stars Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Alfonso Herrera, Stuart Martin, Sky Yang, Rhian Rees and Charlotte Maggi.

And one day after Extraction 2 premiered on Netflix, the streamer announced the franchise would be back with star and executive producer Chris Hemsworth and director and former stuntman Sam Hargrave.
