Last week was Geeked Week at Netflix, during which time the service took the opportunity to showcase its upcoming slate of genre and animated programming for fans.

The week focused on such shows and movies as Rebel Moon, 3 Body Problem, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Arcane, The Umbrella Academy, Squid Game: The Challenge, Shadow and Bone, Sweet Home, Ultraman Rising, Avatar: The Last Airbender and many more.

Part of Netflix's strategy to attract and keep subscribers is to create video games out of shows and vice versa. For example, interactive story game Shadow and Bone: Enter the Fold is a spin-off of the series Shadow and Bone, based on the Grishaverse series of novels by Leigh Bardugo. Netflix currently offers more than 80 mobile games – from sports to strategy to puzzles – to subscribers via its app.

During Geeked Week, Netflix introduced three new games: Hades, Braid Anniversary Edition, Death's Door, along with updates and new seasons of existing games. It also announced that the long-anticipated Devil May Cry, based on the video game of the same name, is coming to the service next year. The adaptation was first announced in 2018 but creator Adi Shankar assured fans in a behind-the-scenes featurette that the show would finally arrive on their screens in 2024.

Netflix also took the week to highlight its highest-profile offerings, including Scott Pilgrim Takes Off on November 17. The anime version of the movie returns with its original voice cast including Michael Cera (Barbie), Brie Larson (Lessons in Chemistry, The Marvels) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ahsoka).

Zack Snyder (300, Army of the Dead) debuts part one of his anticipated sci-fi fantasy film, Rebel Moon, on December 22.

Also premiering that day is part one of K-drama Gyeongseong Creature with part two coming January 5.

Based on Nickelodeon's popular animated series, Netflix's live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender is set to join the service February 22, 2024.

From the producer of How to Train Your Dragon and Oscar-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, an animated adaptation of the award-winning children's book, Orion and the Dark, comes to Netflix in February.

The next series from Game of Thrones' David Beniof and D.B. Weiss – 3 Body Problem, based on a best-selling trilogy of novels – is set to premiere on Netflix on March 21. Netflix offered an exclusive clip of the series, featuring Game of Thrones' John Bradley, during Geeked Week.

Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown stars in Damsel, coming to the service in 2024. The fantasy adventure movie also stars Robin Wright and Angela Bassett.

Tom Ellis may look like a housecat who needs to lose a little weight, but he's actually God and the devil is hanging out somewhere on Earth in the body of a fat cat as well. Animated series Exploding Kittens – based on the popular card game and created by the executive producers of Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill and The Office – comes to the service next year.

Edwin and Charles are the Dead Boy Detective Agency, two ghosts who solve mysteries. Crystal Palace, while also being an English football team, is the psychic who communicates with them. Dead Boy Detectives is set in the Sandman universe and adapted from source material by Neil Gaiman, who included them in a Sandman chapter, and Toby Litt and Mark Buckingham, who created an entire comic around them. Netflix teased the new series, below, but a premiere date has not yet been set.
