This year isn't quite over but Max already is focusing on what's to come in 2024 and beyond.
In the above brand spot, Max reveals never-before-seen footage from such anticipated series and documentaries as the return of True Detective, with Night Country, starring and executive produced by Jodie Foster, coming in January. Also on the slate is The Sympathizer, starring and executive produced by Robert Downey Jr., who plays several roles; Curb Your Enthusiasm; Hacks; Industry, featuring a guest-starring performance by Game of Thrones' Kit Harington; The Franchise; The Penguin, starring an unrecognizable Colin Farrell; The Regime, starring Kate Winslet and more. It also includes first-look footage of 2025 Max Original series Welcome to Derry (working title), which comes out of Stephen King's It universe.
Two of HBO and Max's biggest series – House of the Dragon and The Last of Us – are both featured as well, with House of the Dragon returning this summer and The Last of Us headed back into production in February with an anticipated 2025 premiere date. Last weekend, Max dropped the first trailer for House of the Dragon at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil.
Also coming in 2024 are the fourth and final season of Italian co-production My Brilliant Friend, the second installment of The Jinx and season two of Tokyo Vice, starring Ansel Elgort.
Returning in 2025, besides The Last of Us, is Euphoria, is season three of The White Lotus as well as Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon.
