When a local man turns up dead on the beach in the Tasmanian town of Deadloch, two vastly different detectives – senior sergeant Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and senior investigator Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) – find they must work together to solve the case.

The Australian crime comedy, Deadloch, comes from Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan and stars Box, Sami and Nina Oyama as their overeager junior constable Abby, as well as Tom Ballard, Alicia Gardiner, Susie Youssef, Pamela Rabe, Kris McQuade, Duncan Fellows, Harvey Zielinski, Shaun Martindale, Katie Robertson, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Mia Morrissey, Leonie Whyman, Mick Davies, Holly Austin, Kartanya Maynard and Narrah.

Deadloch flips the crime genre on its head in such a fresh and engaging way, and we know Prime Video customers globally are going to be hooked from the first episode.”

Deadloch is produced by Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions, and Amazon Studios. The series is written by McCartney and McLennan, who also executive produce and showrun, along with Kim Wilson, Christian White, Anchuli Felicia King, Kristy Fisher, Kevin Whyte, Tanya Phegan and Sami. It was directed by Australian filmmakers Ben Chessell, Gracie Otto and Beck Cole with Andy Walker producing. It's co-produced by Fiona McConaghy.

The eight-part series, which was shot in and around Hobart, Tasmania in 2022, launches exclusively on Prime Video on June 2 in Australia and in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. The season finale will air Friday, July 7.
