When corporate negotiator Sam Nelson boards a plane in Dubai headed for London, he doesn't know that his negotiating – and survival – skills are soon to be put to the ultimate test. As soon as the fasten seatbelt sign is turned off, violent hijackers overtake the plane in Apple TV Plus' Hijack.

Told in real time over the seven-hour flight, Hijack stars and is executive produced by Idris Elba (The Wire, Luther) under a first-look deal with Apple TV Plus. It also stars Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife, Snowpiercer) as counter-terrorism officer Zahra Gahfoor, as well as Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles.
Hijack is created by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) and Jim Field Smith (Criminal, Truth Seekers), who also wrote and served as lead director, respectively, and executive produce. Also executive producing are Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta (Slow Horses, The Essex Serpent) under their 60FortyFilms banner, alongside Kay and Field-Smith's Idiotlamp Productions and Elba's Green Door Pictures. Kris Thykier also executive produces.
Hijack debuts Wednesday, June 28 on Apple TV Plus.
