On Saturday, April 1, Hulu debuted the first spot in its new Hulu + Live TV campaign, starring Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson. The spot premiered during Brunson's hosting appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live.
In the spot, Brunson is watching TV when Brunson herself appears to tell her to make the switch to Hulu + Live TV. “It just makes sense,” she says.
“I was so excited when Hulu asked me to be a part of their spring campaign, and had such a great time collaborating with their team,” said Brunson in a statement. “Hulu has always been a staple in my home, and I love that people can tune in to watch Abbott Elementary.”
The full campaign, which was crafted in tandem with independent Black-owned creative agency Translation, will launch on April 17 and include both traditional and made-for-social :15s and :30s spots, digital ads and banners, influencer campaigns and more.
The Hulu + Live TV bundle offers live TV channels plus pay-TV services, including Hulu, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus for one monthly subscription price of $69.99 per month with ads or $82.99 per month without ads.
