Everyone remembers Mr. & Mrs. Smith, in which Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie play the world's hottest married couple (and then went on to be that in real life in a whole drama that we won't get into right here) who are actually both assassins hired to kill each other.
That's not what's happening in Prime Video's remake of the 2005 movie.
In Prime Video's Mr. & Mrs. Smith, created, produced and starring Donald Glover, Glover is John and Maya Erskine is Jane, two spies who are paired up in an arranged marriage.
John and Jane are forced to get to know each other better – and trust each other – as they are sent out on missions with higher and higher stakes. Along the way, they find their feelings for each other are becoming real. That poses the question: what's riskier – espionage or marriage?
Guest cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Sarah Paulson, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, Billy Campbell, Úrsula Corberó, Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Parker Posey and Wagner Moura.
Glover created and executive produced the show with Francesca Sloane, who worked with him on FX's Atlanta. Sloane also showruns.
All eight episodes of Mr. and Mrs. Smith drop February 2 on Prime Video.
