On October 16, 1923, Walt and Roy Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio in Hollywood. In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Disney in November is releasing its new animated movie, Wish, starring Arianna DeBose as 17-year-old Asha who becomes the apprentice to handsome King Magnifico (Chris Pine). Alan Tudyk also stars as Asha's adorable talking goat along with What We Do in the Shadows' Harvey Guillen as her friend Gabo, Victor Garber as her 100-year-old grandfather Sabino, who is still waiting for his wish to be granted, and Natasha Rothwell (The White Lotus) as her mom, Sakina. Jennifer Kumiyama, Evan Peters (Dahmer, Mare of Easttown), Ramy Youssef (Ramy), Niko Vargas, Della Saba and Jon Rudnitsky also star.

Walt Disney Animation Studio released the above trailer for Wish on Thursday, September 28, and it quickly became its most-watched trailer since it released Frozen 2 in 2019, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As of Friday, the trailer had earned 66.5 million views across platforms. On Sunday, it had 5.1 million views on YouTube.

In the movie, King Magnifico has the ability to grant wishes, which he does somewhat parsimoniously, Asha learns. Asha responds by making a wish of her own that's so powerful it changes the course of the Kingdom of Rosas.

Wish is slated for theatrical release on November 22.
