Dan Bragg has been named executive vice president of marketing, creative and communications at Dallas-based EarthX Media Inc., said Dan Russell, CEO of EarthxTV. In his new role, Bragg will oversee all corporate and consumer marketing for the organization, emphasizing building brand awareness and supporting the global expansion of the company's linear television network EarthxTV.

For the past 30 years, Bragg has worked at the center of such media brands as A+E, Showtime, Discovery and Science Channel, winning multiple Promax awards, Clios and two Emmys along the way. For years, Bragg also was the co-host of Promax's long-running conference staple, Hot Spot Showcase, with Mark Valentine.
"As we continue to expand distribution of EarthxTV, Dan's proven track record building brand identity and creating award-winning campaigns that ignite audiences is crucial to our long-term success," said Russell in a statement.

Prior to joining EarthX Media, Bragg was executive creative director at Leroy and Clarkson, leading the creative efforts for various clients, including Scripps, Tribeca Studios, Global Citizen, Showtime, HBO Max, WEtv, Discovery Channel and more. Before joining Leroy and Clarkson, he served as senior vice president of marketing at A+E Networks, managing overall brand and campaign strategy across A&E, History and Lifetime.
As vice president and creative director at Discovery Channel, Bragg oversaw creative for Deadliest Catch, Planet Earth, and Shark Week as well as a rebrand including a campaign titled “The World is Just Awesome.” Bragg also served as senior vice president and creative director of marketing for Science Channel, overseeing the network's brand evolution and launching series such as Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman and An Idiot Abroad with Ricky Gervais.
EarthxTV, which launched in 2022, tells stories about the environment and sustainability and the individuals and organizations working in these fields. The channel is available across premium cable, satellite and digital platforms, such as DirecTV; Charter's Spectrum TV; FuboTV; the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) in the U.S.; Sky, and Freeview in the U.K. and Ireland; M7 in Europe; and Claro video and TotalPlay in Mexico.
