Curb Your Enthusiasm star and creator Larry David answers all your questions in this Close Encounters-inspired spot produced by Los Angeles-based Mocean with help from VFX shop Jamm and many others.
“As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David' persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” David said in a statement. “And so ‘Larry David,' I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”
Besides David, who previously was best known for co-creating NBC's smash sitcom Seinfeld, the series stars Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson, Vince Vaughn and Tracey Ullman. Curb Your Enthusiasm is executive produced by David, Garlin and Jeff Schaffer. It is co-executive produced by Laura Streicher and Jennifer Corey.
The Emmy-winning Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to HBO for its 12th and (allegedly) final season on Sunday, February 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will stream the next day on Max.
