Based on Cheryl Strayed's best-selling collection, Hulu's Tiny Beautiful Things follows Clare (Kathryn Hahn), a writer who becomes a popular advice columnist even while her own life is falling apart.
In the above trailer set to Maggie Rogers' “Light On,” Clare is trying to navigate her own messy life – her marriage to her husband Danny (Quentin Plair) is barely limping along; her teenage daughter, Rae (Tanzyn Crawford), is pushing her away; and her once-promising writing career is non-existent. When an old friend asks her to become an advice columnist, she feels the move is questionable at best.
But the job proves to be a gift in ways that surprise Clare as she works through her many unhealed emotional wounds, ultimately learning that none of us are beyond rescue.
The eight-episode limited series also stars Sarah Pidgeon with guest stars Owen Painter, Merritt Wever, Elizabeth Hinkler and Michaela Watkins.
Liz Tigelaar serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer, alongside executive producers Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Lauren Neustadter, Stacey Silverman, Jayme Lemons, Cheryl Strayed and Kathryn Hahn. The series comes from ABC Signature and Hello Sunshine.
Tiny Beautiful Things premieres Friday, April 7 on Hulu.
