The fourth and final season of FX and Sky's Breeders – starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard – picks up five years after season three left off. Back then, Paul (Freeman) and Haggard (Ally) were on the verge of divorcing. But they have managed to stay together, and now, five years later, their 18-year-old son, Luke (Oscar Kennedy) and his girlfriend announce at Christmas dinner that Paul and Ally are about to become grandparents much sooner than they expected. Meanwhile, their 16-year-old daughter, Ava (Zoë Athena) has developed a mad crush on charismatic Holly (Jessie Williams). All of it has left Paul and Ally convinced they haven't figured a thing out about parenting – or about marriage, especially their own.
The ten-episode fourth season of Breeders is a co-production of Avalon and FX Productions for Sky and FX. It's created by showrunner Simon Blackwell, along with Chris Addison and Freeman. All three executive produce along with Jon Thoday, Richard Allen-Turner, Rob Aslett, David Martin, Toby Welch and Michael Wiggs.
Breeders returns to FX on Monday, July 31 and streams the next day on Hulu.
