From the creators of HBO's Veep comes White House Plumbers, starring Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux as would-be political saboteurs E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy.

The show takes viewers behind the scenes of the now well-trod Watergate scandal but puts its own special Veep-ish take on it as the whole crew of merry pranksters bumble and fumble their way through trying to sabotage the Democrats.

“You want us to try a fourth time?” Liddy asks Jeb Magruder (Ike Barinholz) as his and his team's attempts to break into the Watergate are continually thwarted.

“Wait, what do you mean a fourth time?” Magruder reasonably asks.

And Hunt's efforts are so patently dumb that even his wife, Dorothy (Lena Headey) says, “that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, Howard.”

He, of course, does not listen to her and proceeds anyway to disastrous results. At least for him … and Nixon's presidency.

The limited series also stars Judy Greer (Fran Liddy), Domhnall Gleeson (John Dean), Toby Huss (James McCord), Kathleen Turner (Dita Beard), Kim Coates (Frank Sturgis), Yul Vazquez (Bernard “Macho” Barker), Alexis Valdés (Felipe De Diego), Nelson Ascencio (Virgilio “Villo” Gonzalez), Tony Plana (Eugenio “Muscolito” Martinez), Zoe Levin (Lisa Hunt), Liam James (Saint John Hunt), Kiernan Shipka (Kevan Hunt), Tre Ryder (David Hunt), David Krumholtz (William O. Bittman), F. Murray Abraham (Judge Sirica), Rich Sommer (Egil “Bud” Krogh) and John Carroll Lynch (John Mitchell).

White House Plumbers is directed and executive produced by David Mandel (Veep, Seinfeld) and created, written and executive produced by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck. It's executive produced by Frank Rich, David Bernad, Gregg Fienberg, Theroux, Harrelson, Len Amato and Ruben Fleischer. It's an HBO co-production with wiip with executive producers Paul Lee, Mark Roybal and Nne Ebong.

White House Plumbers premieres Monday, May 1 at 9 p.m. on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
