Antibody and creative directors Patrick Clair and Raoul Marks use recurring shapes – circles, spirals – and patterns of light to tell the story of Apple TV Plus' sci-fi series, Silo, based on a series of best-selling books by Hugh Howey. The sequence is set to a score by Atli Örvarsson.

The show, which launched May 5, is set in the post-apocalyptic future when Earth's remaining survivors live deep underground in a silo. No one questions their existence until a sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and lives are lost. That leads engineer Juliette (star and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson) to start asking questions that uncover long buried truths. 

Clair and Marks drew from the show's rich symbology to create the opening sequence, which is ultimately a story about the universal cycle of life.

Besides Ferguson, Silo stars Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins. The show is created and executive produced by Graham Yost along with author Howey, Ferguson, Nina Jack, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, Ingrid Escajeda and Morten Tyldum, who also directs.
