AMC Networks previewed its upcoming series in 2024 at New York Comic-Con, including new entries into The Walking Dead universe; season two of its critically acclaimed Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire; and the debut of Orphan Black spinoff, Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Krysten Ritter.
Andrew Lincoln and Dani Gurira (Black Panther, Wakanda Forever) return to The Walking Dead with their own series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, in February 2024.
Besides Lincoln – who was The Walking Dead's main protagonist from the series debut in 2010 until Lincoln departed in March 2019 – and Guiria, the spinoff's cast includes Pollyanna McIntosh and Lesley-Ann Brandt, reprising their roles as Jadis and Pearl, respectively; Terry O'Quinn (Lost) as Beale and Matt Jeffries as Nat.
Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead universe, serves as showrunner and executive producer of The Ones Who Live, alongside Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth and Brian Bockrath.
In addition to The Ones Who Live, AMC announced that season two of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which has just concluded its first season, will feature another Walking Dead original cast member, Melissa McBride, in “The Book of Carol.” Season two is currently in production in France and expected to premiere next year.
The series stars Norman Reedus as Walking Dead favorite Daryl Dixon as well as McBride, Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney. It's executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman and Steve Squillante.
During a panel at NYCC, AMC previewed more of its upcoming shows, releasing a first-look scene from season two of Interview with the Vampire and the teaser trailer for Orphan Black: Echoes.
Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire
Currently in production on season two in Prague, Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire stars Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones), Sam Reid, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, Ben Daniels and Eric Bogosian and is executive produced by Mark Johnson; creator and showrunner Rolin Jones; and Mark Taylor, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire is set to premiere in 2024.
Orphan Black: Echoes
Orphan Black: Echoes “takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other's lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal,” AMC said in a release.
The series is set in the same universe as Orphan Black, which starred Tatiana Maslany in many roles as a woman who discovers that she's a clone and then digs in to uncover the origins of her existence and the institutions behind it.
Besides Ritter, Echoes stars Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, Avan Jogia, Rya Kihlstedt and James Hiroyuki Liao, and is executive produced by showrunner/creator Anna Fishko, director John Fawcett, Ritter and Boat Rocker'sDavid Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, Nick Nantell, Kerry Appleyard and Katie O'Connell Marsh.
