In advance of the landmark 50th season of the reality competition series that started it all – Survivor – CBS on Tuesday released an extended franchise trailer.
The 2:17 trailer features a version of "Heroes" exclusively recorded for CBS by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and his son, Jakob. The new version of the full song was first released on Friday. Footage from the show’s 26-year history aired in promos over the weekend during the NFL’s AFC Championship game between the Denver Broncos and the prevailing New England Patriots.
CBS on Tuesday also announced the ten episodes that it will air leading up to the premiere of Survivor 50 on Wednesday, February 25, at 8 pm ET/PT on CBS as well as streaming on Paramount Plus. The special two-week programming event, “Road to 50,” begins February 9 and showcases players from the cast. Some of the cast are hardened veterans who played multiple seasons, while others are fan favorites from more recent iterations of the long-running show.
