‘Of the Year’ Nominees Announced in Global, North America Competitions

The Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences has announced its “Of The Year” nominees in both its Global and North America TV/Streaming competitions. 

Nominated for Creative Marketing Team of the Year in the Global TV/Streaming competition are:

FX won this, as well as North America Creative Marketing Team of the Year, in 2023. National Geographic was Global Excellence Creative Marketing Team of the Year in 2022.

Last year, Burbank, Calif.-based Eclipse won this award, while Amsterdam-based Dutch Toast took this honor in 2022.

Los Angeles-based AV Squad was named North America Agency of the Year in 2023. In 2022, Zealot, which has made the shortlist for the past three years, won this award, while Buddha Jones snagged this honor in 2021.

How the Awards Are Determined

In both competitions, nominees and winners are decided via two rounds of judging. The first round, conducted in both cases via online voting, determines the nominees. Each entry is evaluated and scored based on overall creativity, originality of concept and message effectiveness.

In the second round, a jury of industry peers selects the winners. The Global TV/Streaming jury also met virtually for this round, while the North America TV/Streaming jury met in person in New York and Los Angeles as well as via a virtual session.

This year’s Global TV/Streaming jury was composed of:
