HBO Previews 2025 for Fans

‘Dune: Prophecy,’ ‘The Last of Us,’ ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,’ and more all coming to HBO and Max.

HBO and Max teased more than 25 new and returning series in its latest brand spot, which went live Sunday night ahead of the finale of The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell.

Still on tap for this year are Dune: Prophecy, starring Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel and Mark Strong, which premieres Sunday, November 18; season three of The Sex Lives of College Girls on November 21; Get Millie Black on Monday, November 25; season two of Bookie; and a new season of Hard Knocks on December 3. 

Coming in 2025 are the returns of Emmy winners The Last of Us, The White Lotus and Hacks, as well as a new Game of Thrones spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George R.R. Martin’s novellas set in Westeros about 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

Other series returning next year are The Gilded Age, in season three; The Rehearsal and Peacemaker, both in their second seasons; and The Righteous Gemstones, with season four. 

New series coming to service next year include The Pitt, starring ER vet Noah Wyle as the grizzled veteran in a new medical drama set in Pittsburgh; and Task, a limited series starring Mark Ruffalo as an FBI agent.
