In season one of HBO’s The Last of Us, Joel (Pedro Pascal) was willing to sacrifice everything he had to save his charge, Ellie (Bella Ramsey). But when season two begins, Ellie does not appear to appreciate what Joel went through to save her from her fate.

HBO released the official season-two trailer for the post-apocalyptic drama during a panel for the show at Austin’s South by Southwest (SXSW), featuring Pascal, Ramsey, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Gabriel Luna and Young Mazino along with show creators and executive producers Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. The show, which is based on Naughty Dog’s video game of the same title for PlayStation, also stars Rutina Wesley, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, Danny Ramirez and Jeffrey Wright. Catherine O’Hara guest stars.

Since the trailer premiered on Saturday, March 8, it has gone on to become HBO's most-watched trailer, nabbing 158 million global views across platforms in its first three days.

HBO also released three character-driven posters ahead of the new season.

Season two of The Last Of Us debuts Sunday, April 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
