Denver-based Devlin Design Group (DDG) and New York City-based Clickspring Design (CSD) have allied to expand the capabilities and services available to their mutual clients.

Although both firms have deep roots in broadcast and media design, the alliance extends beyond the traditional broadcast set. Together, DDG and CSD bring complementary expertise to media facilities, corporate workplaces, consumer-facing destinations, branded environments, live events and immersive experiences.

The collaboration responds to a changing landscape in which the boundaries between media, workplace, entertainment and experiential design are increasingly converging. Organizations need environments that communicate their brands, engage audiences, integrate emerging technologies and adapt to multiple forms of content and interaction.

Together, DDG and Clickspring offer a comprehensive design resource—from strategy and concept development through architecture, interior and scenic design, lighting, technology integration, project management, fabrication and implementation.

“By pairing our agile, handcrafted design approach with Clickspring’s global experience and broader architectural and experiential capabilities, we can offer clients an extraordinary range of creative resources,” said Devlin Design Group co-owners Dan Devlin, founder and CEO and Kartik Dakshinamoorthy, president, in a statement.

Clickspring brings experience in large-scale architectural storytelling, global media facilities, branded workplaces and consumer-facing destinations. DDG complements these capabilities with its audience-focused “designer direct” approach and expertise in scenic design, lighting, fabrication, technology integration and dynamic environments for news, sports, entertainment and corporate communications.

“Devlin Design Group is an ideal collaborator as we collectively look toward the future of media and experiential design,” said Erik Ulfers, founder and CEO of Clickspring Design, also in a statement. “The traditional boundaries between broadcast, architecture, workplace, entertainment and branded experience are disappearing. Our complementary capabilities allow us to think beyond the set and consider the entire environment—how people work within it, how audiences experience it, how technology activates it and how the space communicates the client’s brand.”

The alliance enables the firms to scale resources according to project requirements while maintaining the direct involvement of senior creative leadership. Clients can engage the combined team for focused media assignments or broader multidisciplinary projects encompassing workplace, branded interiors, experiential destinations, live events and integrated media environments.
