Nine Acts from Nine Countries Gather to Celebrate One Song, One Speaker
INTROSTORYGALLERYCREDITS
1stAveMachine’s Emil Nava directs global live-streamed event for LGGlobal.

On Saturday, October 5, nine street performers from nine different countries will each perform their rendition of just one song: Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow,” at Boom Boom Pow Festa, which will be blasted through LG’s new XBoom wireless party speakers and live-streamed from around the globe on LG’s Global YouTube channel. LG says it picked the song because it just so happens to drop the name of its speaker 109 times.

The event will be directed by 1stAveMachine’s Emil Nava, who has worked in the music video and commercial space for more than a decade. Throughout his time in the business, Nava has worked with such musical acts as Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Pharrell, Eminem and Ed Sheeran.

“Boom Boom Pow Festa is a festival for the real musicians of the world - the performers who sing in our streets and neighborhoods in everyday life. Getting to highlight not only the musicians but also where they’re from and the communities they represent is something that I am most excited about,” Nava said in a statement.

“Music unifies, enriches, and resonates with people no matter where they are from. We’re dedicating an entire music festival to ‘Boom Boom Pow’, which is not just a song, but more about breaking boundaries, limits and living in the moment,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Home Entertainment Company’s audio business. “LG XBoom amplifies the pulse of music and the thrill of the party to make people feel the power of the music in their lives. And LG’s commitment to spreading positivity based on its philosophy ‘Life’s Good’, is the driving force of why we are doing this festival.”
